William Makepeace Thackeray is a renowned prose writer of English origin, the famous master of satire and realism. The main creative direction of the author: novels, essays, historical essays. Years of life: on 18 July 1811 - 24 December 1863.
Many of the works of William Thackeray are realistic images of English life, as opposed to the previous idealization, typical of English novels of that time. According to the author his best work is considered to be "vanity Fair", where instead of the protagonist being present selfish and wicked world of people. Thackeray has always stressed that evil, vices and bad motives, expressed through vivid satire, much more interesting than utopian ideals.
