The author tells about the battle for Moscow, Leningrad, and the Battle of Stalingrad, which was the beginning of a radical change in the Great Patriotic War. The author covers the activities of the Headquarters of the Supreme High Command, its leadership in military operations. He does not ignore the mistakes in its activities, the reasons for our failures on the fronts.

Of particular interest are the chapters devoted to the defeat of the Fascist troops on the Kursk Bulge, the liberation of Belarus and Ukraine, and the final battle of the Great Patriotic War-the Berlin Operation.
