The mysterious incident in Styles
Something strange has been happening at the Stiles Estate recently: the charming Miss Evelyn Howard, Mrs. Inglethorp's long-time and devoted companion, suddenly decides to leave, casually mentioning the "pack of sharks" that are chasing her. And soon after her departure, the atmosphere in the house heats up to the limit: Mrs. Inglethorp dies at night. Poirot, whom the hostess invited to stay, is sure that she was poisoned with strychnine.
Hercule Poirot receives a letter from the South American millionaire Monsieur Renault, in which he asks for help. But Renault is not destined to wait for the arrival of the great Belgian - his corpse is found on the golf course. In the tangled tangle of events that took place long before the investigation, Poirot finds the thinnest thread that leads him to the killer.
