The author dedicated his book to the history of the Serbian people. Of course, Serbian statehood and its historical vicissitudes (discussed in detail in the work) are inseparable from the ethnic history of the Serbs, but it is the latter that is primary. The author emphasizes that the origins of the formation of the Serbian national community date back to the VII century, to the era of migration of Slavic tribes on the Balkan peninsula, but he argues that the process of formation of the Serbian people did not end either in the XIX or XX century. The dramatic events that followed the collapse of Yugoslavia only confirm the author's point of view and attach invaluable importance to his book, which was first published in Serbian and English in 2004.
