The five-volume work by the great Italian historian and publicist, first published in 1902-1907 gg., dedicated to civil war in Rome that led to the fall of the Republic and the approval of the new Imperial regime the Principate. The presentation includes the background - the formation and growth of the Roman Empire, the civil wars (30s BC) and podvese underneath the line of Emperor Augustus (30 BC - 14 ad).
