Six books of the memoirs of sir Winston Churchill "the World crisis" is one of the most important historical documents devoted to the First world war. None of the serious studies of this period was not without links to long-term work of one of the most important political figures of the twentieth century. It clearly and competently reflects the causes, course and consequences of the global conflict that destroyed empires and which redrew the map of Europe, which contains many factors that affect the lives of current generations.

Churchill's work came in the period 1923-1927, he published "Thornton Butterworth" - then it was 4 books: volume 1 (1911-1914), vol. 2 (1915), and 3rd (1916-1918), divided into two parts (later, this created a little confusion, say, 3 or 4 volumes was the first edition of "World crisis").

In 1929 he published another volume (traditionally 5 minutes) of "Consequences". And in 1931 was published the final, supplementary volume, entitled "the Eastern front". Thus, the history of the First World war from Churchill - this is actually the six volume.
Translated into dozens of foreign languages, he never published entirely in Russian, which generated a lot of scientific and pseudo-scientific interpretations, and sometimes outright speculation. In this first edition of each volume of the Assembly is provided with a set of cards and contains a large number of diagrams and photos.

In the collection of critical essays, published in 1927, immediately after the release of the third part (in two volumes) "the World crisis" Winston S.
